ABOUT SLICK JORGENSEN

He is a proud member of IATSE Local 2 Stagehands and IATSE 476 Studio Mechanics.  He loves nothing more than serving as an electrician, dimmer tech, moving light tech, or programmer. The focus on safety, collaboration, and continued education remains a core value to him.
 
Graduated from Boston University with an MFA in Lighting Design. He was the recipient of the 2024 Thomas J. Munn Award for Excellence in Lighting and the 2018 Shirley Prendergast Award – Best Lighting Design, “Moon Man Walk” – Definition Theatre Company.

He has served as lighting designer with Definition Theatre Company, Jackalope Theatre, Sound Investment, The Roustabouts, and A Red Orchid Theatre. Assistant Lighting Design credits include Palm Beach Opera, Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf, and San Francisco Opera.

Primarily dance based he has worked at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Gallim Dance, Thodos Dance Chicago, American Dance Festival, Paul Taylor American Modern Dance, The Fly Honey Show, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.

In addition to his fine arts work he runs SLAM Productions, LLC. SLAM takes pride in providing rentals, repairs, and production design. Holding a strong belief in education through real world experience SLAM offers internships, training their interns in design and production.
